What are LUTs
A “LUT” is a preset of a particular color look for your video to make it look a certain way, all in one shot. They are a form of an advanced filter for creating natural-looking images from flat or log footage as well as adding cinema looks to your video using color grading without manually adjusting the image. LUTs are useful for saving time, maintaining consistency throughout your projects, and allowing you to match the style of many professional colorists regardless of the camera you use or the video editor software you have available, which is why they are so popular with video editors, filmmakers, etc.
Supported Software’s
These LUTs are compatible with all major video editing programs. So you can use them for all your workflows and do not have to worry about compatibility issues. They can be used directly in Blackmagic Design tools (e.g. Fusion), Blackmagic Camera, VN Video Editor, CapCut and other professional desktop applications like Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve as long as they support standard LUT formats (.cube). The LUTs can also be imported into many newer video editing and mobile apps that allow you to import custom LUTs. So you have the option to edit on a phone, tablet, or PC.

FAQ
Professional LUTs are high-quality color presets made for creating a very specific visual style with your video through manipulating the colors of what is in your video so you can get a “cinematic” “film-look” or “clean commercial” etc.
Most premium color LUTs have been tested on multiple cameras and under multiple lighting conditions to provide much more uniform results while also maintaining a more natural appearance of the skin compared to most free LUTS.
Most LUT’s are available in standard formats (such as .cube) which makes them compatible with most of the major video editing software applications including DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut Desktop, etc.
You can use LUT’s as a solid foundation, however, you will still need some level of basic color grading experience to adjust the exposure, white-balance, and contrast on an individual basis for each shot.
First select a pack of LUTS that match the type of camera and/or log profile used to capture the footage in your video project, then choose LUTS that fit the visual aesthetic/style you are going after. For instance if you want a “Kodak Film” look, a pack of LUTS specifically designed for a “Travel / Adventure” vibe or a “clean social media” look would likely be good options.
