Diwali (Deepavali) festival:
Its the biggest Hindu festival celebrated for 4-5 days in India mostly. All relatives, peoples come together to enjoy this festival of lights. It starts with cleaning, renovating and decorating the houses and workplaces. Brightening them with the lights of various designs and patterns. Generally, this festival comes in October-November month. Diwali is celebrated after 21 days of the Dussehra festival which is the victory of God Rama over the RAVANA.
During these five days, everyone wakes up early in the morning, takes the blessings of elder peoples at home. Then wearing clean clothes, burning the crackers, getting blessings of Goddess LAXMI and so on. Various types of foods are prepared during Diwali, Mithai is the main food in Diwali. The five-day festival originated in the Indian subcontinent and is mentioned in early Sanskrit texts. The names of the festive days of Diwali, documented by Qa Kishore, as well as the rituals, vary by region. Diwali is usually celebrated eighteen days after the Dussehra (Dasara, Dasain) festival, with Dhanteras, or the regional equivalent, marking the first day of the festival when celebrants prepare by cleaning their homes and making decorations on the floor, such as rangoli.
