Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbai both are new studios. The Pune location was founded in 2008. Why it’s important to mention that it’s led by Indian Studios? So here is the answer, In India, game development is still an unknown carrier. Most of the gamers are leaned towards mobile gaming. Nowadays gambling games are promoting themselves as “the games”.

The Problems

The AAA titles requires investments, big financing budgets, absurd polishing and design. If you see from business point of view developing AAA games from India, most of the games are only focused on mobile and casual gaming. So the return on investments for these casual games is really good. But its the opposite for the AAA titles.

Users are getting furious over the graphics they looks like from PS2 Era. But let the gameplay out and this maybe just a polished version of the Prince Of Persia Sands Of time. Due to the restrictions nowadays it may not have been possible. Also, it will be a lot to redesign all from the scratch.

Future

Ubisoft India may have the workforce to pull the projects like this one. This may be a start for the new projects that can be handled by these studios. Ubisoft boss Jean-Philippe Pieuchot revealed that they are considering to partnter with IIT, Rubika and Ecole Intuit Lab. This will be helpful to bring their future plans to action.

Ubisoft India HR Director Samira Chobani explained the partnership with IIT and Rubika for art, designing and programming. These events shows that there might be a good future for AAA Titles game developments in India. Ubisoft India studios will not be just a support studio but also it will contribute even more.

Its really great time for Indian Game Enthusiasts and artists to come forward and invest in their skills. Ubisoft Pune working on Sands Of Time Remake its huge considering the Atmanirbhar Bharat movement. Gamers should give more preferences to the full fledged AAA titles game. Most of the Indian Game developers are in for Short Term Trend games.

This can be the first ladder to step up the real game development scenes in India. Also, the Indian Studio Nodding Heads Developed Raji An Ancient Epic is one inspiration for the Indian game developments. Prince of Persia Sands Of Time is now available for Preorder. It will be available for PC on Epic Games as well as UPlay. You can also pre-order for Xbox and Playstation from Ubisoft Store.
