Instagram after releasing the Reels is now taking steps to retain the users. Like until now, Instagram used to display the You are all caught up message when you have seen almost all of the posts. But now it will change, you can scroll Instagram endlessly now.
Instagram will now show you suggested posts. If you have so much of a waste time and you end up scrolling all of the posts from the accounts follow, you will get to see the suggested posts. The suggested posts will appear after you have seen all of the posts. It will show you related videos, photos of the accounts you didn’t even follow.
Though this tactic can definitely bring an increased user retention rate. Here’s a more interesting thing, the posts you will see will be based on Instagram’s suggestions not according to accounts you follow.
Scroll Instagram Endlessly
Till now whatever you see would have been based on the user preferences. But now it seems to change. The addition of suggested posts will change this scenario. There’s explore tab which shows you similar content as per accounts you follow.
But the suggested posts seems promoted by Instagram rather than the user’s preferences. Obviously, you can select “Not Interested” if you don’t the posts you have been shown.
