After giving it some thought, we realized that the only way to let our most demanding fans get more while keeping our existing features free is to make those raised limits a paid option. That’s why this month we will introduce Telegram Premium, a subscription plan that allows anyone to acquire additional features, speed and resources. It will also allow users to support Telegram and join the club that receives new features first.

What will change? Is telegram going to cost you for using it?
In short, nothing is gonna change for the free users. They will be able to use the Telegram as before. The existing features which are available as of now will be available for free. The Telegram premium subscription is for power users. It’s not gonna cost anything to use Telegram, we will be able to use it as before.
So what will the premium users receive? Durov stated the premium subscription is only for demanding users. A subscription plan that allows anyone to acquire additional features, speed, and resources. It will also allow users to support Telegram and join the club that receives new features first.
