About Lenovo Vibe K5:-
Lenovo Recently Launched Vibe K5 With Stable Android 5.1 Lollipop. This Phone Comes With 5 Touchscreen Inch Display 720 x 1280 pixels Of 294 PPI.
This Phone Runs On octa-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 processor And It Also Included 2GB Ram And 16GB Of Internal Storage. Also, Have 13 Megapixel Of Or rear Camera And 5 Megapixel Of Front Camera. It Has Removable Li-Ion 2750 MAh Battery. Sensors In The Phone Include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer.
Preparation:-
- Charge Your Device.
- Backup Phone Apps, Contacts, SMS.
- Enable developer options.
Go To Settings -> About Phone -> Tap On โBuild Numberโ 7 Times To Enable Developer Options.
- Enable USB Debugging.
Go To Your Settings -> Developer Options -> Tick The โUsb Debuggingโ Checkbox .
- Enable OEM Unlock.
Go To Your Settings -> Developer Options -> Tick TheโOem Unlockโ Check box
- Install Lenovo ADB Fastboot Driver -> Link.
- Download the ADB-FASTBOOT-TOOL, TWRP 3.1, SuperSU-2.82.
- Read Guide.

Download Vibe K5 Twrp 3.1 Super-Su
Instruction To Install Twrp 3.1 on Vibe K5 & K5 Plus:-
Step 1 ->Download and unzip “adb-fastboot-tool-2016” and twrp-k5-3.1.1_shreps.img Move To adb-fastboot-tool-2016 Folder.
2 -> Go to “adb-fastboot-tool-2016” folder And Open Cmd There By โโโ
Hold Shift + Mouse Right On The Folder then click open command windows here
3 -> Connect your phone to pc Now type or paste this commands to cmd windows then hit enter.
adb reboot bootloader
- That will turn your phone into fastboot mode if the command not working then try to go manually by the press and hold Volume Up + Power Then Select Bootloader.
- Then flash twrp recovery Via This Bellow Command.
fastboot flash recovery twrp-k5-3.1.1_shreps.img
- If You Want to install Twrp for temporary to root the device then use this command
fastboot boot twrp-k5-3.1.1_shreps.img
- Then Reboot Your Phone Normal Mode Via This Bellow Command
fastboot reboot
Root Lenovo Vibe K5 & K5 Plus:-
- Copy “SuperSU-v2.82.zip” to Your phone.
- Turn off your phone.
- Turn on Your Phone Into Recovery Mode By Hold (Volume Up +Down + Power).
- Or Turn On Recovery Mode By adb Command
adb reboot recovery
- Go To Install Navigate To “SuperSU-v2.82.zip” & Install.
- Reboot & Enjoy
Check Root Status With Root Checker
Your Phone Now Successfully Rooted With Twrp 3.0 You Can Now Customize Your Phone.

Stucked at ‘Waiting for device’
first install the adb driver other wise it will say Waiting for device
says ZIP File is corrupt. ZIP opens fine with WinRAR, even ried re-zip with WinRAR and no Compression.

Can’t boot to fastboot mode. Its kind of stuck…..idk i waited for about 30 mins but…..

My computer lost power when installing a custom rom, I don t have a back up of the original rom
when using the spflash tool, It doesnt come up like before
When plugging the computer it detects the mediateck DA USB but not anything else
I have updated the drivers
Only the red light in the from shows up when connected to power or to the computer
