OnePlus 8 Pro is already having lots of hype going on nowadays. Now Twitter and other posts are flooded with the X-Ray Vision On OnePlus 8 Pro Camera. It is the default camera feature and does not require any kind of other app installation. Back in the days in 1998, Sony developed the X-Ray camera which can see through Garments. Obviously, due to privacy and other issues, it was closed. Of course, it has to be shut down it is a major breach of privacy. Talking about the OnePlus 8 Pro X-Ray Vision mode can see through some plastics which don’t have any higher thickness. If you have a TV remote then by going into the Photochrome feature you can see it from inside.

OnePlus 8 Pro has a sensor that is sensitive to IR light. The 5 megapixels color filter camera is useful for this feature. The imagery that the user sees from this camera is made of hardware and software combinations. if you got any plastic device that doesn’t have any IR shielding you can “see-through” it. Devices like your TV Remote, iPhone, game controller, etc. Unbox Therapy YouTube channel also made a video about the same. You just need to switch the “Photochrome” filter to get a “see-through” effect. This X-Ray vision on OnePlus 8 Pro camera is getting hyped too much now. Though Oneplus didn’t release any statement on this new feature. Check out the tweet below, I think it’s really cool feature.

This was first noticed and posted on Reddit and later everyone started testing it. Lots of devices for a long time are coming with IR blasters. Even the Google Pixel 4 came with a 3D face unlock. Oneplus 8 Pro camera supports the camera which can add Infrared Light for in-camera effects. This feature is really cool and people are already investing so much time in it. Infrared light can penetrate through materials like thin plastic, and also from objects which don’t have IR shielding. You can see through lots of objects, and no you can’t see through clothes!! Through watching the below Unbox Therapy video, he tried using OnePlus 8 Pro X-Ray Vision on Clothes.

From the video, you can see that Leu takes the box in his shirt and captures the shot. The box image becomes visible!! So is this feature useful? Infrared photography was popular back in the time in the 1930s but sure this is a notable feature of Oneplus 8 Pro. X-Ray vision on OnePlus 8 Pro is surely a feature you can play with it sometime. This tech was also used in Night Vision Goggles to see through the night. So how do you enable it? It’s easy to follow the below steps.

How To Use

  1. Open the default camera app on your OnePlus 8 Pro.
  2. Now on the main screen go to Filters. Located in the top right corner.
  3. Here you will see some usual filters like vivid, b/2, etc. Go to the last filter named “Photochrome”.
  4. Tap on the “Photochrome filter and capture the image of any plastic material.
