Install TWRP Recovery And Root Lenovo S5 With Magisk

Previous year Lenovo launched their smartphone of Lenovo S Series. The named of the device is Lenovo S5. After launching the Lenovo S5 device, Shortly after the TWRP Recovery for Lenovo S5 is now available. So now you can easily root Lenovo S5 and install custom ROM and much more.

Here we share “TWRP for Lenovo S5” which will make it easier to root Lenovo S5. First, we will install TWRP recovery using ADB. If you have Lenovo S5 and you want to install TWRP Recovery on your device and root Lenovo S5. Then you are in the right place.

Install TWRP and Root Lenovo S5

Before doing all those processes first, need to unlock the bootloader of Lenovo S5. Without unlocking the bootloader you can’t root or install TWRP in your device. Unlock bootloader of Lenovo S5 first, then follow the guide below to install TWRP on Lenovo S5.

After installing TWRP recovery on the device, you can easily install magisk on Lenovo S5 for root access. If you want to install custom ROM or any mod then need to install TWRP Recovery and root access. Here we provide TWRP v3.2.3 for Lenovo S5. So let’s go to the steps below to Root Lenovo S5 with Magisk and Install TWRP Recovery.

Download Lenovo Z5 TWRP Recovery

  • All required file for Lenovo S5: Lenovo_S5_k520_guide

Download other required files:

  • ADB & fastboot tool ⇒ LATEST MINIMAL ADB AND FASTBOOT TOOLS

Install TWRP For Lenovo S5:

1.) Make sure your device bootloader must be unlocked.

2.) Download “adb-fastboot-tool-2018.zip” extract it in a desktop.

  • Download TWRP img from above.

3.) Rename TWRP recovery IMG file “recovery-twrp-3.2.3-crn-seoul(v3.2.3-1).img” to “recovery.img” and copy to adb-fastboot-tool-2018 Folder.

4.) Open cmd windows in “adb-fastboot-tool-2018” folder by Shift + Mouse Right click.

5.) Connect your device to the PC, make sure USB Debugging is enabled.

6.) Now Reboot your Lenovo S5 in Bootloader Mode, using this command.

adb reboot bootloader

7.) Once your device in fastboot mode, Now paste this command on command window and hit enter to install TWRP recovery on Lenovo S5.

fastboot boot recovery.img

9.) Now enter into TWRP mode, first press the “Volume up + power” button to switch to “Fastboot mode”, then select the “Recovery mode”, then the device will start into TWRP Recovery mode and go to the root steps below.

Lenovo Z5 Root

  • In TWRP, swipe to allow changes. Press cancel when asked for a password to decrypt data
  • Go to Wipe>format data, type “yes” and confirm (if you have any data like installed apps, contacts etc., it will be deleted).
  • Go to Install and install “Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_12.16.2018.zip“.
  • Then go to Install Navigate to Magisk.zip Swipe to install.
  • Reboot your phone.

    when I Install the “Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_12.16.2018.zip“, my device stuck at “flashing new boot image”
