Asus was silent for long time, as there was no launch from the Taiwanese firm. Now after the ROG Phone 3, Asus launched two new devices. The Asus Zenfone 7 and Asus Zenfone 7 Pro models. About 1 and half year ago the Asus 6Z was launched with the flip cameras. The same flip camera setup is continued with the 7 series.
Other features such as a higher refresh rate, the latest Snapdragon 865+ chipset is upgraded. Also, it has a huge battery too. Because of flip cameras, you will get a full view display without any notch or punch hole. Lets’ check out both Asus Zenfone 7 Pro and Zenfone 7 Specifications. There is not much of difference between the two devices.
Asus Zenfone 7 and Zenfone 7 Pro Specifications
Both the devices has the same display. It has 6.67 inches AMOLED display which is full view display. The display resolution is 1080 X 2340 pixels and has 90hz refresh rate. Also, the display HDR10+ compatible. Other features includes 700 nits of brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection.
Processor, Ram And Storage
These two devices are powered up by the latest Snapdragon 865 chipsets. Here comes the difference between these two models. The Zenfone 7 comes with the Snapdragon 865 chipset clocked at 2.84Ghz. Whereas the Zenfone 7 Pro comes with the Snapdragon 865+ chipset clocked at 3.1Ghz. Both the chipsets has the same Andreno 650 GPU.
The Zenfone 7 comes with the two variants, 6GB/8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 supported storage. Whereas 7 Pro comes with the only one variant 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 Storage. Both these smartphones has Micro SD card dedicated slots.
Both these phones has the triple flip camera setups. Which makes these two phones, the first triple flip camera supported smartphones. Because of these triple flip cameras you can capture an awesome selfies with the rear cameras. We have already seen it on Asus 6Z. Both device has the similar camera setups. Let’s check their specs.
- The main camera is 64 Megapixels wide camera with f/1.8 aperture. The sensor is the latest Sony IMX 686. It has 119 degrees of FOV. This main camera supports PDAF and (OIS) Optical Image Stabilization.
- The second one is 8 megapixels telephoto with f/2.4 aperture. This one supports PDAF, OIS, and also 3X optical zoom.
- Last one is 12 megapixels ultrawide camera with f/2.2 aperture with 113 degrees FOV. It supports dual pixel PDAF.
Other features are available like, It can record 8K videos at 30FPS. The 4K videos at 30/60 and 120FPS, 1080P videos at 30/60/240 FPS, and 720P at 480FPS. Also, it has Gyro EIS and HDR support. The same cameras are used for the front as well as rear so both the shots will be great.
Software Battery And Other
The Asus Zenfone 7 and Zenfone 7 Pro comes with Android 10 out of the box. It is based on the ZenUI 7. It has a massive 5000mAh battery with 30W Hypercharge support which charges 100% in 93 minutes and 27W Qualcomm quick charge is also supported. The 18W USB power delivery is also available with reverse charging.
Both the devices have Fingerprint which is side-mounted. Sensors like Accelerometer, Proximity, Compass, Gyro are available. It also supports dual-band GPS with the latest Indian NAVIC. Ports are USB Type C 1.0 reversible connector and there is no headphone jack and the device has the stereo speaker which is a plus point. The NFC is also available.
Asus Zenfone 7 and Asus Zenfone 7 Pro are currently launched in Taiwan. Both devices comes in Aurora Black and Pastel White colors. Below are the prices in Taiwan, approximately converted to other currencies.
