Ever since Huawei banded in the USA, the latest Huawei and Honor devices didn’t come with Google Mobile Services (GMS) preinstalled. Instead, they come with the company’s own HMS (HUAWEI Mobile Services). HMS is a Google apps alternative, but it doesn’t have many apps or features like GSM core. So Google Mobile Services is needed for Android devices. Here we share the easiest way to install Google apps on Huawei and Honor devices using Googlefier Tool.
Googlefier: Install Google apps on Huawei and Honor devices
All the GSM installers that have come out have been a little complicated to install, but Googlefier is the easiest method to install Google Mobile Services or your device. Thanks to XDA Senior Member bender_007 to developed essentially an unofficial GMS installer called Googlefier. Through this application, users can install Google mobile services on any HUAWEI/HONOR smartphones and tablets running EMUI 10/EMUI 10.1 or lower. As of now, it does not support EMUI 11. Therefore, if you have updated your device to the latest version of Huawei Android skin, then you can’t use this app.
Once you install and grant all permissions to the Googlefier app, you will need to follow the instruction it gives you. There have 5 steps. Once you completed all those steps, you can install the Google Play Store and other Google apps on your device and log into your Google account. Googlefier uses the LZPlay method to install GSM core on Huawei and Honor devices. The whole process takes about 5-7 minutes. If you follow the instructions correctly, there will be no errors.

Steps to install Google Mobile Services on Huawei/Honor
- First, download the “googlefier_eng.apk” from the above link.
- Then Install the app on your Huawei or Honor device. (Enable the “Unknown sources” option from Settings > Security.)
- Now grant all required permission properly.
- After that, you will see 5 steps on the display.
- Once you’ve completed all steps, you should be able to install the Play Store.
- Now log in to your Google account, and enjoy.
