Download Android 17 GAPPS | NikGapps | BitGapps | LiteGapps

Android 17 GApps are now available for both stock and custom ROMs, following extensive development. If you have installed any custom ROMs or ROMs from China, Google Apps are not included at all. For example, Lineage OS and AOSP-based ROMs do not include Apps from Google. Therefore, you have to install GApps manually using a custom recovery. In this post we share all available GApps packages from Nik Gapps, Bit Gapps and Lite Gapps.

Each of these GAPPS packages offers a variety of options. This allows you to choose the components that best suit your needs. BitGapps covers the essential framework with the smallest footprint, while LiteGapps keeps the package light and systemless-friendly. You can install the Android 17 GAPPS package easily with a custom recovery like TWRP Recovery. Additionally, Orange Fox Recovery is supported.

What is GAPPS or (Google Apps)?

Google Apps, or GAPPS, are applications brought by Google. You can now install them on Android phones. Generally included are Google Play Store, Gmail and Google Photos with other Google Apps, These are very important for using custom ROMs. To use a custom modified Android OS, you need to install GAPPS as a separate step. You need this separate step to get essential Google services after installation.

NikGapps offers deep customisation with modular packages, BitGapps is the best choice for the minimalist, and LiteGapps gives the user a lightweight Google Apps package bundle. The once-popular Open GApps project has paused and no longer ships Android 17 builds, so Android 17 GApps users should skip it for new ROMs. For this reason, it is important to select the correct GAPPS package. This way, your Android experience is not compromised. It will remain entirely secure and fully compatible in its performance with the necessary Google services, no matter which custom ROM you choose.

How To Install Android 17 GAPPS On Android 17 Rom’s

Before you start, download the Android 17 GApps package and make sure you have custom TWRP recovery installed on your device. Clear internal storage, back up data and fully charge device. Flash GApps immediately after your ROM and before first boot or Google Play Services crashes on setup screen.

You can find the TWRP recovery and guide here: How To Install TWRP Recovery On Latest Android Devices.

1. First, install twrp recovery on your device. Then, free up internal storage, back up all your data, and charge the device.

2. Check your device’s Android CPU architecture version with CPU-Z App.

3. Download The Latest Gapps as your phone Cpu version and Android Version for your device.

4. Download and copy gapps zip to internal storage or sd card.

5. Turn off your phone and turn it into twrp recovery by volume up + down + power navigation key.

6. Flash the Gapps zip right after the ROM and before the first boot – this order avoids Google Play Services crashes. If your recovery is Lineage Recovery, use adb sideload instead.

7. Back and reboot the device. The first boot takes five to ten minutes. If you hit Error 70 in recovery, switch to a leaner package like NikGapps Core or BitGapps. If Play Integrity fails afterwards, a Magisk or KernelSU module fixes it.

Troubleshooting Android 17 GApps Issues

  • Google Play Services keeps stopping – the device was booted into the ROM once before the GApps zip was flashed. Go back to recovery, format data, flash the ROM and then flash the GApps package immediately, before the first boot.
  • Error 70 in recovery – the system partition ran out of space while extracting the package. Switch to a leaner build like NikGapps Core or BitGapps, or install BitGapps as a Magisk or KernelSU module so free space is no longer an issue.
  • Play Integrity fails after setup – custom ROMs need a systemless root with a play-integrity fix module (Magisk or KernelSU) to pass hardware attestation for banking and streaming apps.
  • Play Store missing after an OTA update – flash the same GApps zip again over the updated build. NikGapps survival scripts usually handle this case, but some ROMs need a manual reflash.
  • App crash loops after a dirty flash – reflashing the matching Android 17 GApps zip on top of the dirty-flashed ROM restores the Google framework without wiping data.
