The New AMD Ryzen 4000 Series APU, Doesn't Need The GPU

The Red Team is moving and reaching new heights and benchmarks with every release. Now the AMD released the 4000 series APUs these are so powerful that they don’t need a GPU. This sound weird right?

Though its not weird, the AMD Ryzen 4000 series APU are having Vega Graphics. These Vega graphics are the powerful enough to run the latest modern games at high settings.

The latest Death stranding and GTA 5 can be run on this APU without a dedicated GPU. This can be a big deal for gamers which can save a LOT of money. According to some sources, the “Renoir” flagship AMD chipset outperforms the PS4 and Xbox One too in terms of graphics horsepower.

Ryzen 4000 Series, Ryzen 4700G

A YouTuber TechEpiPhany played death stranding and GTA 5 on the Renoir APU. He got 30FPS at 1080 and 60FPS at 720 settings. It includes high details and textures enabled. He has a benchmark playlist for other games too with the same chipset. The APU performs really well in these games.

The Ryzen 4700G has 8 cores and 16 threads. It clock to 4.4Ghz frequency. It is based on the Zen 2 architecture so the performance and computing capabilities will be great like the 3700X and 3800X.

If someone wants a budget build for gaming this can be your best choice as of now. Intel doesn’t seem even close to the AMD right now. Even their 7nm production is delayed until 2022. So their new chipset will be still based on the 14nm process. Whereas the AMD Ryzen 4000, series are already on the latest TSMC’s 7nm fabrication.

This is a game-changer for the budget PC gamers. You can add dedicated graphics whenever you want. But even if you don’t add you will get a significant amount of performance without a GPU!! The AMD subreddit showed T-Flops benchmarks, which concludes that GPU, can outperform last-gen consoles too. It will be really exciting to see the AMD RDNA chipset’s performance later.
