Nowadays even big manufacturers are packing bloatware in the smartphones. usually, the budget and mid-range smartphones are coming with ads and loads of bloatware. There is always a question like how to remove bloatware from Android without root. Because uninstalling few of these apps requires root level access. You may have searched how to uninstall system apps from android or how to remove bloatware without root and pc. All your answers are here. So you might be thinking like what’s a bloatware? If you are new you might don’t know about this term. It is kind of preinstalled apps that comes with phone added by either manufacturer or the carrier. Few of the bloatware you can uninstall easily. But few of them are built into the system and if you have root access then only you can uninstall system apps from android. The bloatware may include apps like SMS, Payments app, social media apps, some random games etc.

Some manufacturers have the same apps as Google. This becomes a duplicate thing, like Samsung has bixby, calender and Google also have them. So, manufacturers most of the time will push you to use their default apps. But you should have a choice what to use and what to not. How to remove bloatware from android without root

There are two methods you can use for how to uninstall system apps from Android. One is using the Debloater by 0X192 developer. The second method is probably some of you may know is to use the ADB commands. But the debloater by 0X192 has user interface and you can easily remove bloatware without root access. Even if you don’t have Windows system it can also work on MacOS and Linux operating system. You can check the list of bloatware available below on most of the OEMs. This will give you an idea on what are the bloat and which you can uninstall.

Download Universal Android Debloater

For Windows

  • uad_gui-windows.exe
  • uad_gui-windows-opengl.exe

For MacOs

  • uad_gui-macos-opengl.tar.gz

  • uad_gui-noseflupdate-macos.tar.gz
  • uad_gui-noseflupdate-macos-opengl.tar.gz

For Linux

  • uad_gui-linux-opengl.tar.gz

Method 1 : remove bloatware without root using Universal Android debloater

The tool is easy you just need to select the packages and click on uninstall. Firstly, download the the debloater from the above downloads section for you operating system. First things first backup your data just to be on safe side if you mistakenly uninstall any system app.

1.) First you will have to enable developer options, USB Debugging and OEM unlock. Check this Enable developer options, USB debugging mode and OEM Unlock on Android Devices. For some devices OEM accounts needs to be disconnected, you can skip this and proceed to next step.

2.) Install ADB drivers on your PC. Download them from ADB Android Minimal and Fastboot tools.

3.) Download the Universal debloater from above downloads section. Download “opengl” version only if the other version doesn’t work.

4.) Now you will need to copy the Universal Debloater app to the ADB folder. Connect your phone and allow USB debugging.

5.) Open the command prompt in the same ADB folder. You can open CMD by entering cmd in address bar and enter.

6.) To check your device is connected via ADB, type adb devices command and hit enter, it’ll show your devices connected and its address.

7.) Now just open the universal debloater and it will automatically detect your device. Also, it will list all the apps from your device.

8.) Select the bloatware you want to uninstall just by ticking the boxes. Now click on uninstall button to uninstall them.

9.) If you mistakenly removed a package you immediately restore it by clicking on restore button.

That’s it, easy peezy lemon squeezy. Now you can remove remove bloatware from android without root in easy way.

Method 2 : remove bloatware without root using ADB

1.) First you will have to enable developer options, USB Debugging and OEM unlock. Check this Enable developer options, USB debugging mode and OEM Unlock on Android Devices.

2.) Install ADB drivers on your PC. Download them from ADB Android Minimal and Fastboot tools.

3.) Now connect your Android device with pc and execute this command.

adb shell
  • You can get the package names list using the following string:
    • pm list packages (app name)
  • We have already listed all the package list so you can use package remove commands on the command promote to remove the packages.

Here is one of example

pm uninstall -k --user 0 flipboard.boxer.app
