- Very Tiny Size about 5.7MB!!!! It is too much small compared to the original Instagram that having the size of 141MB.
- You can post photos, stories, view stories etc. But cant post the videos yet. Though for this little size app it is really a good thing.
- Private messaging is not available yet maybe it will implement later. So no private messages can be sent in this Instagram Lite Version.
- Runs on low storage and RAM mobile phones. The old phones having 1GB RAM or less and having less storage space will now be able to run the Instagram Lite Version.
- Starting time is less. App starting and the closing was an issue in some phones using the Instagram app. This will be solved in this lite version.
- Videos will not play automatically you have to click on the video to play it. So data charges may get reduced by this feature.
Some Points:
I just tried this app on my Honor 7X, and it runs flawlessly. Instagram lite apk has a very small size compared to the original one that was eating lots of space in my internal storage. but Instagram lite still not supports video posting and private messaging. But for viewing photos, videos, stories just for checking the updates its the best app. I didn’t expect a smoother experience in this app. But really there was no lag in this lite version. All seemed pretty good though its first release. You can check below screenshots for comparing their sizes. It uses about 130MB app storage (space) while lite uses only 1.95MB storage space.

This is really good, right? Still, the app is in its starting phase more features and optimizations may be done in upcoming versions. We will keep you updated about its latest versions. I used this app for 1 day and didn’t face any lag on this app. Though Instagram_Lite APK is only for posting photos, checking updates and stories.
