Samsung is not the fastest one in terms of updates. But after the One UI launch, things have changed a bit. Most of the new smartphones are now receiving updates as they should be. The April security patches are now getting pushed to the Samsung devices. Samsung Galaxy A51 is a mid-range smartphone that was launched in December 2019. One UI 2.1 update is now available for the Samsung Galaxy A51. As always Samsung firstly pushed the update to flagship devices like Note 10, Galaxy Fold, etc. Now the same update is getting pushed to mid-range smartphones too.
The previous update version for the Galaxy A51 was A515FXXU2ATB1. Now with this update, the version is updated to A515FXXU3BTD4. This update also packs the security patches released for April. The update is about 1.2GB in size. There are a few changes made in this update. Like quick local file sharing, new AR Emojis. Also, there some canes and improvements to the Samsung Keyboard app too. Note that, the bootloader version is changed after you update you won’t be able to go back to previous versions. The update is being pushed regionally.
The update is already pushed in regions like Kenya, Israel, Egypt, Morocco, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Africa. It will be soon pushed to other regions like India soon. One UI 2.1 includes some of the new Android 10 features. Like live captions, night hyper-lapse mode, a pro mode for video shooting, and AR features. So if you got the update, update it now. But be sure you can’t roll back once you updated with this update. This update seems stable so less likely there will be an issue.
