This update brings a few new features for this pandemic Covid-19 situation to help the user in many possible ways. In the previous iOS 13.4.5 update, they introduce Covid-19 track features. In this update, Apple made some changes because many users are cautious that this may track their data. But it doesn’t store your private data like messages, contacts, and more. Somedays ago Apple and Google are working together on this project to provide these features with Android phones too, so now Apple device works with Android device to prevent Covid-19 situation.
The update comes with build number 17F5065a. The size of the OTA update may vary from device to device, approximately 150MB. In this update, the modem firmware has not changed, it is still 1.06.00, which means that there is no update for basic features. This update comes with some new features and bug fixes. Apple has also released beta updates for macOS 10.15.5, tvOS 13 Beta 4, and watchOS 6.2.5 Beta 4 updates.
What’s new in iOS 13.5 beta 4?
COVID-19 Exposure Logging: This option replaces with “Exposure Notifications” and add a more detailed description of how the exposure logging works. Also, this setting is working with Authorize app only. So now any 3rd party app cant uses your data. Exposure Notification API developed by Apple and Google for COVID-19 contact tracing. You can enable it from Settings > Privacy > Health > COVID-19 Exposure Notifications. It securely shares your device id to nearby people and alerts them. It works with iOS with Android both device.
Face ID improvement: Now if you are wearing a mask on face, your phone will take you directly to the password screen. This way you don’t have to swipe up twice to enter the password screen.
Music share: A new option is available to share songs, albums, and playlists to Facebook and Instagram Stories.
