How To Sign Out Of Gmail And Remove Google Account completely

If you have an Android you must have signed in Google Account. If you want to sign out of Gmail or sign out of Google you have to follow some steps. The steps are simple but follow it carefully. Remember you are going to only remove google account completely from the device, you are not deleting the Google account. You can add that account by signing in google account again. Not only Gmail you can remove google account from WhatsApp, Instagram and other apps that have linked device Gmail account even you can sign out of Google Play.

Signing in Google Account on Android is important cause all the Google Play, Gmail and other Android services are based on that mail. But if you ever want to remove Google account you can follow the below steps. You can sign out Gmail or sign out of Google Play just by removing the Google account from the device from the accounts settings of your android phone. So let’s start.

Steps To Sign Out Of Google Or Sign Out of Gmail:

Just follow the simple steps on your android phone.

1.) Open your device Settings menu.

2.) Find the Accounts or Accounts and Sync section and tap on it.

3.) On some devices, you can get this setting named ”Cloud and accounts–>Accounts” or ”Users and Accounts”.

4.) Now it will show you lots of accounts like Google, Facebook, etc. Tap on Google account.

5.) This will show you a list of Gmail accounts you logged in.

6.) Tap the one you want to sign out of Google or Sign out of Gmail.

7.) Now at the bottom or floating option tap on it to get remove the account option.

8.) On some newer devices by clicking on top right corner 3 dots, you can see the option of remove google account.

9.) Tap on that option, It will sign out of Google and Sign out of Gmail and will remove Google Account from your device completely.

This is how you can sign out of Google Play and other apps too. If you want to remotely remove the Google Account you can follow the below steps.

This method is useful when your phone has been stolen, You can remove Gmail account from that device.

Firstly, go to ”My Account” Link. Log in with the mail you want to remove. Now head towards the Security option from the menu. As shown in the below screenshot.

After clicking on the Security tab you will see ”Your Devices” Tab on the right side.

Click on manage devices, It will show you which devices have currently logged in your Gmail.

Click on the device you want to sign out of Google account. Then click on ”Sign Out”.
