The 2.77 of FMSC is an alpha release for those who want to give feedback.
It has a countdown timer on streaks, a full “Dark Theme” option, and allows users to manually “view” snaps by tapping on the eye icon (this will require toggling “Hide View Snap” to be enabled). It also has a half-swipe alert for previewing chats, the ability to secretly capture screenshots, and will prevent unwanted screen captures from happening.

You have more control over what others see about you through options to view your View/Snap Story, read messages, your online status, typing notifications, and a “secret typing” feature so you don’t show the other person as typing until you’ve sent them a message.
