This article is completely bogus. According to the linked page for unlocking the bootloader, only the G4 and G5 support unlocking the bootloader. From the page:

The following devices will support unlocking the bootloader:

    • H815 (G4) for the European market

    • H850 (G5) for the European market

Unlocking the Bootloader will only be supported on selected devices.

So how is this article supposed to apply to the G3?

Did the author even try the steps in this article out on an actual G3?
