Still can’t find a remote for your TV? Fed up with the search? There is a cheap solution: a QFX universal remote. It is very popular because one remote can control up to four devices. Models REM 6 and REM 8 go even further by handling up to six or eight different gadgets. This guide lists every qfx universal remote codes sorted by brand and shows you how to program them.
QFX sells a full line of universal remotes. You can get REM-10, REM-11, REM-13 and REM-20 which all are 4 in 1. REM 6 is a glow in the dark 6 in 1, REM 8 is an 8 in 1 remote and REM 115 is a big oversized remote that also works for 8 in 1. REM 13 is also offered in rose gold and silver. Only the REM-13 models add streaming buttons for Netflix and YouTube. Good news: the qfx universal remote codes work across the whole range, so the list below fits every model.
QFX Universal Remote Codes List (TV)
Start by finding the brand of your TV. Then look up that brand in the big table. Codes are four digits. You will usually spot a typo quickly because most codes have a similar beginning and ending. We include the most popular brands: Samsung has 43 codes, Philips 43, Sony 13, LG 27 and Vizio 11; there are also many small brands not listed in other tables.

How to Program QFX Universal Remote
Method 1: QFX Universal remote codes (Direct Code Entry)
Want to pair your remote quickly? Enter the code directly. First, turn on your TV. Then press the TV button on the remote and hold the “Setup” button until the red light stays on. Then enter the qfx universal remote codes for the TV brand you have. If you keyed in correctly, the red light will turn off, and you can now control the TV power. If the light flashes, the code was wrong, so punch in the next number from the list.
Method 2: Auto Code Search (Without Codes)
If you can’t find your TV brand or its code, Auto Code Search is here to help. How to proceed: Here is how it goes:
- Press the button marked TV.
- Hold Setup until the red light stays lit.
- Press Power. The remote scans its internal code library and the red light flashes.
- The moment your TV powers off, hit OK quickly to lock the code in. If you are too slow, the remote keeps cycling.
Remote will now scan its internal code library and the red light will flash. As soon as TV powers off quickly hit “OK” to lock in code. If not quick enough remote will cycle repeatedly. Some remotes have buttons specific to brands. You can also try direct pairing by simultaneously pressing brand button and “TV.”
How to Find the QFX Universal Remote’s Current Code
Forgot which code the remote is using? The remote can reveal it. Press ‘TV’ and hold ‘Setup’ until the red light stays on for two seconds. Next press Info and tap the number keys one by one. Each digit will blink and you can note the code down. If your remote is totally messed up just enter 9901 and factory reset it; you can start over now.
- Press the TV button on the remote.
- Hold Setup until the red light stays on for two seconds.
- Press Info. The red light blinks three times and stays on.
- Press each number key. Count the blinks after each press; each blink count is one digit of the stored code.
Reset the Remote
If the remote acts up and nothing else helps, type 9901. That wipes the programming and restores factory defaults, so you can set it up from scratch. Do not forget to re-enter the code for your TV afterwards.
Troubleshooting
- Remote does nothing, red light will not stay on. Dead or loose batteries are the usual cause. Swap in fresh ones with the correct polarity and test again.
- Red light flashes while typing the code. The code is wrong. Wait for the light to settle, then enter the next code from the brand list.
- TV turns off during auto search but the remote does not respond afterwards. You locked the code too late or too early. Run the search again and press OK the instant the TV powers off.
- Only power, volume, and mute work. That is a partial code, and it happens with universal remotes. Move to the next code in the list for a fuller match.
- TV ignores the remote from a distance. Point the remote directly at the TV. Sunlight or a bright lamp near the IR receiver can wash out the signal.
- Buttons work for the TV but not for the second device. Each device needs its own code. Press the matching device button (TV, AUX, DVD, or Stream) and pair it separately using the same steps.
- Nothing works even with the right code. Run the 9901 reset, then pair the remote again from scratch. If it still fails, the remote hardware is faulty and the unit should be replaced.
